The Hokey Pokey riding group will explore the Lake Butler to Palatka Trail on Saturday, Feb. 19.   The group should meet at Twin Lakes Park (see directions below) at 9:15 a.m. for a 9:30 ride start.  This is a paved rail trail,  no cars,  just bikes and hikers.

I recieved a report that paving has been completed all the way to Palatka.

Everyone is welcome is come on this ride (of course, you must wear a bike helmet).  Don't worry about being slow, no one is slower than me and we never leave anyone behind.

The ride will be chaperoned by the ride leader who will ride at the back of the group to make sure no one gets lost.  The ride leader is also a bicycle mechanic who can help fix flat tires and help with any other mechanical problems.

The Twin Lakes Park Trailhead can be found by going East from Gainesville on SR 26 to Melrose, Left at the light in Melrose on SR 21, Right onto SR 100 at the light in Keystone Heights, and then Left on Twin Lakes Road a couple of miles South of the village, and finally Right on South Twin Lakes Road for about a mile.  Twin Lakes Park is the County soccer field, so is obvious on your Right.

Why Hokey Pokey rides?
Cause that's what it's all about!
