The Wascally
Wabbits
have been having a very good time, hippity hopping around the country side,
riding much harder/faster, each week. We will once
again
leave the Chevron station at 5:55 on Tuesday. Up to now we have
been doing a very good job of both single and double pace line riding, but
we
haven’t practiced the Wascally art of Wootating pace lines.
This is
a constantly rotating pace line that is used in a number of different
situations, and usually at higher speeds. We are quickly approaching
those speeds. So here is
the plan for tomorrow
night. Millhopper to
241N,
236E, 239N, 121N, 18E, to Brooker rest stop. 231/235S to LaCross, 121S to
53rd
back to the Chevron. We will pick up
water
at Brooker, so two bottles should be enough. Here are a couple
of
good websites to look at for riding in a pace
line: http://www.lostrivercycling.org/paceline.html http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S129pCsN-YU Remember the
first
three rules in riding in a pace line: 1)
Safety 2)
Safety 3)
Safety Then there is
always
the have fun, go fast and again be safe. All GCC rules
will
apply For those of you
with
a Garmin, I have attached a Bike Route Toaster route (www.bikeroutetoaster.com) Doug
