If it was a single bottle of Mexican Coke, this would be a fight to the death.  But I'll take your challenge anyway.  :)

The rules: Only Doug's HAIR's may be part of the chase group leaving at 5:55.  Regular "A" riders need to go with the NW A-ride that departs at 6.  If the A's catch the HAIR's, they can all work together to chase my sorry butt down.

The finish is the GREEN Gainesville sign on Millhopper road.  First person there gets Duggin's fizzy drink.

8-10 against 8-10 against 1 seems like an interesting time to say the least...  Maybe I need to bring out the TT bike.

I will award anybody who catches Ken one free 2 liter bottle of Publix soda.
Same awesome prize to Ken if he stays away.
Ken will decide if he is actually "caught" or "stays away".

I'm going to leave the Chevron at EXACTLY 5:50PM by myself for a solo ride.  The "HAIRS" should try to chase this "HARE" down and see if the 6-10 of them can catch a single rider that has been given a 5 minute head start.

Here's the game plan:

I will meet up with the HAIRS at 5:45, we'll confirm the route, then I will go ahead and depart at 5:50.

If the HAIRS are successful in catching the HARE, then they can have a double point bonus in their win column.

Once again we will be Wabbits and try to keep ahead of the  As.  We will leave from the Chevron on Tuesday EXACTLY 5:55 PM.

Who should come out?

Anyone that would like to learn to ride faster. No matter if your speed is currently or 17/18 or even 20 MPH average. The whole purpose is to become a better rider. Might you get dropped. YEP, and probably some of us will. But that is OK. What you will want to do is come out and go as hard as you can for as long as you can, and push harder than you thought you could.

Also, these rides are designed to TEACH riders that would like to move up, the POLITICS of riding in a fast pace line. Be it a single or a double, or maybe later on a rotating. Here in an informal/friendly setting we can all learn together.

When: Meet at 5:45 for pre ride meeting, again, we leave at exactly 5:55.
Course will be 40 miles, see the A ride posting for route.

We had a very large group last week and I hope you all can make it again.

See you tomorrow night, Doug
