Saturday December 3 ,  Strays will depart from the Boulware Springs dirt lot for a ride of  32 - 33  miles. This ride will take us on the new Depot Connector, the Depot Trail, part of the UF campus, the Waldo Trail, to Newnans Lake, and the Gainesville Hawthorne Trail. If you have always wanted to see where all of these Trails are and where they go, this is your chance.

Chapel on Lake Alice on UF campus

Bring your camera / binoculars if you like, there will be a number of photo ops on this ride.

This ride will involve the use of some wide sidewalks, but will not go anywhere that skinny tires can't safely ride.

Meet at Boulware Springs dirt lot at 10 am for a 10:15 start
Note the late start to allow temps to get above 50 degrees.

Ride speed range 6 - 28 mph, varying with terrain. This ride is mostly flat.

Average speed in recent times has typically been approaching 14 mph, but because a lot of this riding will be urban a slower average may be expected.

Their will be several convenience store / rest room opportunities on this ride.

No pace lines, no wheel sucking, no racing, just a fun social ride.

Helmets are REQUIRED on all Strays rides, mirrors recommended, headphones forbidden.

Safety protocols are always observed on Strays rides.
If you have not ridden with the Strays before, please read this.

After the ride the hungry may head for a restaurant;
likely choices, Louis Lunch, Emilianos, or Harrys.
Other suggestions welcome.

Hope to see you on the ride.
