On Saturday  July 19, Strays will ride from Fanning Springs State Park to the Nature Coast Suwannee Bridge and to Old Town, then on to Chiefland before returning to Fanning. Approximately 30 miles.
 
 Arrive at Fanning Springs park at 8:45 am to depart at 9 am...!
 
 Speed 2.5 - 46 mph, depending on terrain. Average speed  has typically been 12 - 14 mph in recent times . This ride is extremely flat.
 
There will be a convenience store / rest room stop in Old Town and another is possible in Chiefland, if necessary.
 
No pace lines, no racing, no wheel sucking, just a fun social ride.
 
 After the ride the hungry will head to the GCC picnic in order to eat lunch with other club members. Followed by snorkeling.
 
  Helmets are REQUIRED on all Strays rides, mirrors recommended, headphones forbidden.

  Directions from Gainesville:
Head west out of Gainesville on 26 thru Newberry and Trenton to Fanning Springs. At the junction of 26 with US19 turn right and proceed toward the Suwannee Bridge. The park is on the left about a half mile before you get to the bridge. About 33 miles from the junction of 26 and I-75 to Fanning Springs.
