THANK YOU Carry Z for leading the women's ride today. I
think it is safe to say that everyone had a great time, definately just
what I needed.
Not too fast or competitive and there was not one flat tire (but if
there was, we could have fixed it, no problem) It is an excellent place to
start if you don't feel comfortable ride in the "co-ed" group
rides :)
Speaking of women on bicycles, I'd like to encourage the
Ladies of GCC to go out to GCC Time Trials next month. You will have a
great time! Although, Claudia & I were the only women out there this
weekend, when we rode everyone was especially encouraging and glad
just to have us out there! It's just you and the clock for 9ish
miles - the only pressure is what you put on yourself. So with that said
the hardest part for me was getting there. You don't even have to
post time if you don't feel like it, I didn't. Take the chance
and step out of your comfort zone...you might find out you like it
there!!!
UNFORTUNATELY, Doug is on the mends from
a virus So, I hope you will come out for the MS-150 Conditioning Ride
tomorrow. We will be leaving from the NW Chevron.
Arrive: 5:30 pm. Rollout: at 5:45pm
Location: Chevron Nw
53rd/43rd
Pace: 18 mph average
Distance: 40 - 50 miles, No
drop
Helmets are required. Bring plenty of fluids. Please remember
your blinkies, it could be getting dark near the end.
Thanks again Carey for posting, looking forward to next weeks
ride.
And thanks to Ken Sallot for giving me the ol' HTFU :) and all of
you TT guys for your support this weekend! I had a great time.
Also, Thanks for letting me stand on my soap box of a minute,
Jo
