GCC's Hokey Pokey group will ride the Horsefarm 25 or 30 mile route on
Saturday, Oct. 16, starting from Flemington Park. Riders should meet
at 9:00 a.m. for a 9:15 start.
This ride will be on roads with automibile traffic. We will ride
past many beautiful horse farms in north Marion County.
Ride leader Chandler will drive a SAG vehicle to chaperone the
group. He will be painting arrows on the route in preparation for
next week's Gainesville Cycling Festival. If you come on the
ride, you will recieve a tutorial on the arcane skill of marking bike
routes.
Everyone is welcome is come on this ride (of course, you must wear a
bike helmet). Don't worry about being slow, no one is slower than me
and we never leave anyone behind.
The ride will be chaperoned by the ride leader who will ride at the
back of the group (in a SAG wagon) to make sure no one gets
lost. The ride leader is also a bicycle mechanic who can help fix
flat tires and help with any other mechanical problems.
