This week’s ride info:

 

Day: Saturday, May 1^st    

 

Time: 8:15am meeting, 8:30 departure (The weather forecast is for it to be 90 degrees Saturday, so let’s start a little earlier and finish a little earlier.

 

Meeting Place: Parking lot in front of Publix at Steeplechase, on Newberry Road at NW 143^rd Street in the Jonesville area. We’ll meet in the southern part of the parking lot just east of SunTrust so we are out of the way of the parking for those shopping.

 

Route and Mileage: We will do a modified version of one of the Newberry Rides starting at Jonesville, going west on SR 26 to CR 241 South and down to Archer, turning north up US 27/41 to SW 46^th Ave and west to CR 337 back to SR 26 west of Newberry, turning east to Newberry where we’ll stop. From there up US 27/41 to NW 94^th Ave and east over Chestnut Hill to CR 241, turning south back to Jonesville. The total ride is 47 miles.

 

Pace: The HighBees ride pace is about 16-17 MPH. This is a friendly, no drop ride; we re-group at all turns when needed.

If you are new to GCC and are looking for a weekly ride with a moderate pace and moderate distance, please feel free to join us.

 

Membership Requirements: Please note that HighBee rides are open to all GCC members who wish to participate. Those that are non-members may ride with the group as a guest of a sponsoring member once without being required to be a member.
