meeting at 7:45am and leaving at 8:00am to try to beat the
heat) Meeting Place:
Kangaroo, on the corner of Route and Mileage:
We’ll leave from Kangaroo and ride west to Short Wacahoota Rd and go
to
Micanopy, taking CR 329 down to CR 320 and going east to Macintosh, then
north
on US 441 to Micanopy for a rest stop, then CR 234 to the GHT and go to
Williston Rd and turn west to go to the point of beginning for a total of
47
miles; estimated with the assistance of MapMyRide.com.
Pace:
The HighBees ride pace is about 17-19MPH cruising speed and average in the
mid
17MPH range. This is a friendly, no drop ride; we soft pedal to get those
being
dropped back on and re-group at all turns when
needed.
