I noticed while driving this week that pavement work had been
done on the newest section of the Palatka-Lake Butler rail
trail.
I went out today and rode on the
section, and took pictures, of course:

The trail is not "open" and a lot of work
such as signage and safety features needs to be done, but that didn't
keep me or a bunch of others away.
If you
park at Twin Lakes Park (Clay County) east of Keystone Heights, it's
about 10.2 miles one way to the new east end.
I don't know when the official opening will
be.
No work appears to be being done yet on
the next
section.
Enjoy.
