Dear Friends,

Last year, Jim and I put together the first annual Brasstown Bald Buster Century.  We gave people an opportunity to climb Brasstown in a safe environment.  The feedback from all participants was overwhelmingly positive in 2005.
Attempting to ?out do? ourselves, Jim and I are proud to announce the second annual Brasstown Bald Buster Century for 2006.  The event will be held on Saturday May 6, 2006 with a mass start at 7:30 a.m.  Since registration is limited to only 300 spots, we felt it was only fair to open www.active.com on a first come first serve basis.  Registration for this year?s BBBc will officially start on active.com on Wednesday February 1, 2006 at high noon.  Please note that all registrations are final without refund and that once 300 people are registered active.com will automatically close.

This year, Jim and I revised the route so that it will begin in Helen, Georgia and end atop Brasstown.  Before you get too upset about the route change, for those of you that loved it, the last 70 miles of this year?s route is the exact same as last year?s route!  Signature medals will be given out again this year to all that make it to the top of Brasstown.  Please visit the official event web site at www.BrasstownBaldBusterCentury.com for any and all information and event updates.

As requested from the die hard Brasstown fans of last year, you can purchase official Brasstown event merchandise from our site.  What better way to give yourself a chance to talk about your epic conquest at the office, than by holding an event coffee mug!

Jim and I granted another huge wish by securing the same restaurant as last year.  It is the best BBQ you have ever had.  We had several tell us they loved it and they don?t even like BBQ.  Beer will be available for purchase at the Feisty?s as well as being able to sit on the deck overlooking the river after an epic ride.

Jim and I have some more surprises, but we don?t want to overwhelm you!  Register, stay tuned, and check the website often!!

Sincerely Yours,

Mitchell Askew & Jim Burt
