LOST AND FOUND: two aluminum lawn chairs, left at the San
Felasco Picnic(Aprill 22). let me know if they are yours. I
will bring them to Hart Springs on Monday.

The Gainesville Cycling Club (GCC) will have its famous Memorial
Day picnic on Monday, May 28 at Hart Springs in Gilchrist
County. The club will provide bar-becued sow, cow and fowl,
club members should bring salads, side dishes and deserts.
Ride leaders should organize rides for Monday. The Nature Coast
Trail is near Hart Springs and is the perfect place for families to ride
(paved trail---no cars!). The roads near Hart Springs are very quiet.
Hart Springs has excellent swimming and also has canoe, kiyak and
paddle board rentals. Entrance to the park is $2 or $3 per person (I
forget which).
Hart Springs is 38 miles west of Gainesville. Go west
on Newberry Road (State Road 26), go through Newberry and
Trenton. As you go west on SR 26, there will be several signs
directing you to Hart Springs.
You can take either County Road 341 north (right turn) or CR 232 north
(right turn) and follow the signs to Hart Springs.
