Some of you know, some of you do not know...on Sat 20 June 2009, I had a heart attack.  Long story, I lived, and am doing just fine.

Below is a link to a NFRMC website that tells my story, my two doctors story as well as a link for another man, similar age and great health, who had also had heart issues about the time I did.  Learn from our experiences...get a carotid ultrasound...if there is plaque there, listen to the medical advice to deal with it.  Being in great shape helped me survive, but did not stop a heart attack from happening.  I needed Lipitor or similar drug but me and my GP were fooled for years.  Now, we both know...and I am on Lipitor.  But, all this coulda been a lot worse.

Here's what to do...

1 - do this at home or when you have time...work for me is too busy for something like this...

2 - go to: http://minutesmattergainesville.com/

3 - click under each photo where it says 'Heart Patient."

4 - click in the center of each photo, the play button.  Each video will load.  Each video is not more than 4 minutes long.

Stay healthy.  Listen to your body.  Minutes matter.  Bob Howland
