Study was mandated the 2005 Legislature to
identify ways increased use

(Section 335.067, F.S.). This project documented
the number of
people who would use bikes for transportation and recreation

facility improvements were made. In addition, it quantified the energy
savings and health benefits associated with increased ridership.

(Directions: Drive east out of Gainesville on SR 20
(Hawthorne Road). Cross over Prairie Creek, and within a half mile,
turn right onto the next paved road - CR 2082. Take this for
1.3 miles, and then turn right onto CR 234. You'll cross the
Gainesville-Hawthorne State Trail, and in a few hundred feet, take the
first right onto a limerock driveway (two mailboxes). Follow this
about a mile to the Homestead, and we'll be meeting in the older home
there.)
