To all HighBees and those that would like to ride with us:

Day: Saturday, August 23^rd   

Time: 8:00am meeting, 8:15 departure

Meeting Place: Hitchcock’s Supermarket, corner of Archer Rd (SR 24) and US 41/27 at the main intersection in Archer, Florida. Please note that this is a new location for starting a ride. There is plenty of room to park in the Hitchcock’s parking lot.

Route and Mileage: We will ride a modified version of the Western Loop, going out of Archer on CR 346 (just a couple of blocks south of Hitchcock’s) to SR 121, then to CR 320 at Wachaoota turning to go to Shiloh, then up to Micanopy where there will be a rest stop either in downtown Micanopy or at the Pearl Country Store. From Micanopy we will ride to Wachahoota Station and then back to Archer. Approximately ride will be 40 miles.

Speed: HighBee rides will be about16 MPH average. This is a no drop ride; we re-group at all turns. When there is a large turnout, there is often a small group that will break away and ride at a faster pace; so if you are looking for that there should be an opportunity. If you are looking for a friendly ride at a comfortable ride pace, there will be an opportunity to do that.

If you are new to GCC and are looking for a weekly ride with a moderate speed and distance (Usually 40-50 miles), please feel free to join us.
