This week’s ride info:

 

Day: Saturday, February 20^th

 

Time: 11:00am meeting, 11:15 departure (tentative later start due to cold temps forecasted).

 

NOTE: At this point I can’t tell what the temp will be by 9:00 or 10:00am for so, so I am going to check it later in the week when that information is available on The Weather Channel. I posted the ride for an 11:00am meeting time (anticipating colder temps) for now and will make any adjustments called for, whether to ride earlier if it’s warmer or later if it looks like it is going to be colder a little later in the week when the info is available.

 

Meeting Place: Parking lot across the street from Conestoga’s Steakhouse on Main Street in downtown Alachua.  This is the same ride that I posted last week that didn’t happen.

 

Route and Mileage: We will do a variation of the Pre-Columbian ride, mostly being the northern portion of it and will total 38-40 miles.

 

Pace: The HighBees ride pace is about 16-17 MPH. This is a friendly, no drop ride; we re-group at all turns when needed or for mechanical or rider related issues.

 

If you are new to GCC and are looking for a weekly ride with a moderate pace and moderate distance, please feel free to join us.

 

Membership Requirements: Please note that HighBee rides are open to all GCC members who wish to participate. Those that are non-members may ride with the group as a guest of a sponsoring member once without being required to be a member.
