This week’s ride info:

 

Day: Saturday, April 24^th (Ride to coincide with the GCC Earth Day Picnic. Following the ride those that wish to attend the picnic can go to the San Falasco State Park right behind the Progress Center. Roger Pierce has asked that whoever is going to attend, if you are going to eat the BBQ the club is providing, to let him know so they know how much to order.)

 

Time: 8:15 am meeting, 8:30 departure

 

Meeting Place: Parking lot in front of the Sid Martin Technology Incubator at the Progress Center on US 441 in Alachua. 

 

Route and Mileage: We will do the a ride starting at the Sid Martin Center and going out to Lacrosse, then Brooker, (we’ll do our stop in Brooker) then Graham, then Monteocha and back to the beginning which using www.gmap-pedometer.com comes out to 50 miles.

 

Pace: The HighBees ride pace is about 16-17 MPH. This is a friendly, no drop ride; we re-group at all turns when needed.

 

If you are new to GCC and are looking for a weekly ride with a moderate pace and moderate distance, please feel free to join us.

 

Membership Requirements: Please note that HighBee rides are open to all GCC members who wish to participate. Those that are non-members may ride with the group as a guest of a sponsoring member once without being required to be a member.
