Reminder about ride, swim and lunch on
Saturday The Gliders, HighBees, TwenBees and LoBees are all invited to join us
at
The Lodge at Dylan’s Grove for a ride, based on one of three ride
paces
and two different ride lengths. Right now there are riders attending from
all
groups, so there will be a ride for everyone. Please let me know if you
plan to
attend and whether you are just riding or staying for lunch following the
ride.
The original post is below: Day: Saturday, May 21st
Time: 7:45 am meeting,
8:00
departure (Note: Slightly earlier start
time…beat the heat and have time for swim and
lunch!) Meeting Place: The Lodge at
Dylan’s Grove, Access: Dylan’s Grove is a gated community, so if you would
please
reply to this e-mail with “Ride” or “Ride and
Lunch”
and I’ll send you a temporary gate code by e-mail. Also, we’ll
know
that way about how many are attending and how to plan for the drinks and
desert. Route and Mileage: There are two
different
ride routes planned; a 47 mile route for the Glider pace ride and the
HighBee
pace ride and a 30 mile route for the TweenBee and LoBee pace ride.
We
welcome any GCC and TVM members to join in on the ride as long as you are
comfortable with participating in a ride for one of the above mentioned
groups.
While these rides will go at these paces, this is not an official Glider
ride
unless Roger Pierce chooses to post it as such or an official LoBee ride
unless
Bob Newman chooses to post it as such; however any riders who typically do
those rides are welcome to join us. I’ll provide a ride map to
someone
from each of the ride paces going out. All rides will be a no drop ride
with
soft pedaling as needed to re-group and re-grouping at turns when needed.
The
longer route is: East on SW 15th Ave
to
SW 170th St, south to Archer, through downtown to CR 346 and go east to SR
121,
then south to NE 75th St, north of Williston to US 27/41, then north to
Archer,
then up US 27/41 to SW 46th Ave, then east to SW 170th St, north to SW 15th
Ave, and west to Dylan’s Grove. Reconvene at The Lodge for those
staying
for the after ride activities. The
shorter route is: East on Pace: Lunch: For those who wish to
stay for lunch following the ride, please bring a sandwich of something
else
for lunch and we’ll be providing drinks and desert.
Membership
Requirements: Please note that
HighBee
rides are open to all GCC members who wish to participate. Those that are
non-members may ride with the group as a guest of a sponsoring member once
without being required to be a member.
