I was able to trace Richard down at the No. Florida ER and just got off the phone with Richard's wife Rhona. Good news!! Richard is somewhat banged up and they are doing x-rays on his shoulder to see if anything is broken.

Richard says that he was hit by a car's right side mirror. Fortunately it was a small car and the mirror folded up on impact.
