Velvet's Saris Bones two-bike rack was stolen from her vehicle this weekend while the car was in Gainesville at Holton Automotive (NW 16th Ave and NW 6th St).

This rack is unique from most Saris in that it has been spray painted a dull red color. Most of these racks are medium gray. Some newer Saris racks are now available in a bright red plastic and in pink, but none are available in a dull flat red.

The spray job is obvious, the underside of the arms are not painted, and the aluminum cylinder is painted red too (this is never red on a factory model). The feet are black but have some over spray.

If you see this rack on a car, or on Criagslist, please let us know about it so we can inform the police. Do not engage the thief yourself. If you can write down the car make, model and color, and get the tag number and give it to us that will be most helpful.
