I am providing this advance notice regarding a ride on Saturday, May 21st since it will consist of a ride at three different ride paces, one at Glider pace, one at HighBee pace and one at LoBee/TweenBee pace; followed by swimming and lunch at The Lodge at Dylan’s Grove, located at 18909 SW 21st Place, south of Newberry Rd in the Jonesville area. An official ride announcement will be made on Tuesday or Wednesday prior to the ride date.

Day: Saturday, May 21st

Time: 7:45 am meeting, 8:00 departure

Meeting Place: The Lodge at Dylan’s Grove, 18909 SW 21st Place, Newberry, Florida 32669. Directions: West on Newberry Rd to SW 170th St, south to SW 15th Ave, right to SW 188 St. Enter through gate and drive to the rear of the community (1/2 mile) and turn right on SW 21st Place to driveway that goes to parking area for The Lodge. There are bathroom facilities at The Lodge for changing into swim suits or dry clothes following the ride.

Route and Mileage: We will do a ride in the Newberry, Archer area that will be in the 40-55 mile length. I’m going to try to layout the ride to provide longer and shorter options on the ride distances for the different groups riding.

Pace: Pace will be determined by the Ride Leader for each of the three ride paces provided.  

Lunch: For those who wish to stay for lunch following the ride, please bring a sandwich of something else for lunch and we’ll be providing drinks and desert.

If you are new to GCC and are looking for a weekly ride with a moderate pace and moderate distance, please feel free to join us.

Membership Requirements: Please note that HighBee rides are open to all GCC members who wish to participate. Those that are non-members may ride with the group as a guest of a sponsoring member once without being required to be a member. Team VetMed members are welcome.
