Bicyclists may want to visit White Springs on Saturday, March 19.  The Suwannee Bicycle Association is having an "open house" at their clubhouse, there is an Azalea Festival in the State Park, and a music event in the evening.

Ride leaders may want to consider a ride at White Springs.   There are excellent, marked routes on quiet country roads.  There are excellent off-road (mountain bike) trails in the conservation areas along the Suwannee River.  There is a beautiful 3.5 mile paved trail in the Big Shoals State Forest, along with miles of dirt trails.

The Suwannee Bicycle Association will be having an "open house" at its clubhouse in downtown White Springs.   Their clubhouse has local bike information, a commercial size kitchen and showers.  SBA is definitely worth visiting and joining their organization.

Stephen Foster State Park and White Springs is having an Azalea Festival.   The Park has azalea gardens, a Stephen Foster museum, a brass bell carillon, and a gift shop featuring Florida folk art and music.  Come and sit on the banks of the Suwannee River and listen to the carillon play music.

One other event is the White Springs Folk Club concert at 7:30 p.m. at the Telford Inn, a 100 year old hotel on the banks of the Suwannee River.  Magda Hiller will be playing.  The Telford also has excellent dining, including a classic southern style buffet. You may want to e-mail McKenziew@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx for musical ticket reservations.
