GCC members:

It's almost time for our next GCC Adopt-A-Road cleanup on Sunday, June 6th, 2010 at 4 p.m.

While riding on Millhopper Road today, I noticed a fair amount of trash along our club's section of the road.  It definitely needs a good cleanup.  With a full crew, everyone can finish quickly and get on with more important things (like dinner at Piesano's, for example).

Unfortunately, we are still 2 volunteers short. If you are able to help out, please email or call me.

For those who might be interested in helping out, here's how it works:

On June 6th, park along NW 136th St north of Millhopper (close to CR 241).  Meet at 4 pm to get organized for a 4:15 pm sharp deployment.  Please don't be late; it's hard to get you supplied and assigned after we have started.   We will split up into teams of 2, and each team will be given a rolling cart, trash bags, grab sticks, and safety vests.  Together our crew will clean up GCC's assigned 2-mile stretch of Millhopper Road, then the option of joining us as we head to a local eatery ( Piesano's at Hunter's Crossing is very good). Good food, good friends, talking cycling over a beverage afterward...it's part of the experience.

The following volunteers have already signed up:  Phil & Sherrie Nolden (first-timers!), Barb & Mike Bergin, Fairlie Bagley, Julie Baker, and Andrew and myself (<-- all Adopt-A-Road veterans).

Hope to see you there!

If you have questions or would like to RSVP, email me at foxally@xxxxxxx or call (352) 745-2011.

Thanks,

-Ally Gill
