Day: Saturday, July 30th

Time: 7:15 am meeting, 7:30 am departure (Note: Slightly earlier start time…beat the heat and have time for swim and lunch!)

Meeting Place: The Lodge at Dylan’s Grove, 18909 SW 21st Place, Newberry, Florida 32669. Directions: West on Newberry Rd to SW 170th St, south to SW 15th Ave, right to SW 188 St. Enter through gate and drive to the rear of the community (1/2 mile) and turn right on SW 21st Place to driveway that goes to parking area for The Lodge. There are bathroom facilities at The Lodge for changing into swim suits or dry clothes following the ride.

Access: Dylan’s Grove is a gated community, so if you would please reply to this e-mail with “Ride” or “Ride and Lunch” and I’ll send you a gate code by e-mail. Also, we’ll know that way about how many are attending and how to plan for the beer! E-mailing me is best.

Route and Mileage: Saturday’s ride I made up on MapMyRide.com so feel free to check this link to the map which is a 47 mile ride with the distance from The Lodge to the gate where I started the map. http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/43104356. This ride will go to Newberry, up to 232, to 241, down to SR 26 at Jonesville, east to Parker Rd, down to Archer Rd, west to Archer and north back to Dylan’s Grove.

Pace: Normal HighBee pace of 17-18 MPH.

Lunch: For those who wish to stay for lunch following the ride, please bring a sandwich of something else for lunch and we’ll be providing beer and soft drinks.

Weather:  As of right now Weather.com shows good weather for the weekend, except for the 94 degree temperature, but no rain. If there is a change in that, since we’ve been having a lot of rain, there will be a follow up e-mail on Friday night or very early on Saturday morning, so please check.

Membership Requirements: Please note that HighBee rides are open to all GCC members who wish to participate. Those that are non-members may ride with the group as a guest of a sponsoring member once without being required to be a member. Team VetMed members are welcome.
