Dear Friends:

Thanks, Dan.  Gosh, I guess I did not have that picnic on my social calendar.

So the EZ Riders cruise on the Nature Coast Trail on 30 November is herewith CANCELLED.

How about we reschedule it for Saturday 14 May at 8:00 AM?  More about that later.

Cheers,

George

Dear Friends:

This is a pre-announcement for an EZ Riders ride on Saturday 30 April on the Nature Coast Trail.  We will depart the old train depot in Trenton at 9:00 AM (last of the late departures for the season), and return there for lunch at the Olde Quilte Shoppe.  At least to Old Town and the Suwanee River bridge to watch the sturgeon jumping, maybe to Fanning Springs to check if the plumbing is still working.  We will examine the mechanism which allowed the bridge to rotate to allow steamships to pass, and point out the site of the wreck of the SS City of Hawkinsville.

Easy pace , some would say glacial, on a flat, well-paved trail, good for families and beginners, and we leave no one behind.  Lots of wildflowers, and the leader, while not a wildflower expert, did sleep in a Holiday Inn Express once.  And will try to remember to bring a copy of Bell and Taylor.

The old train depot is on North Main Street in Trenton, about 3 blocks from the only traffic light.  Just go West on Newberry Road (SR 26) through Newberry to find Trenton, and turn Right at the light. Bring water, etc. although there are a couple of convenience stores along the way.  Questions?  Call me at 333.3184.

Cheers,

George
