I have NEVER sent an email to my entire contact list and I generally don't like being copied on such emails.  This is a first and if for whatever reason you don't appreciate it, I apologize in advance!

This is something I believe in and support.  I hope you'll stand behind it at any level as its a pure selfless effort to help people genuinely in need.  Pass it along, forward this email, donate anything; a Dollar is better than nothing!

I have trained with my son Daniel for over a year now under Sensei Jimbeau Wilmoth.  Our style is Renshinkan Shorinji-Ryu; a pure Japanese karate form passed down for generations and maintained in Japan by Soke Iwao Tamotsu.  Daniel is now a blue belt and practices formally 2-3 times a week and almost daily at home.  He will be competing in AAU tournaments next month and performs beautifully!

It has been a great experience acting as Sempai (assistant) to Sensei Wilmoth and helping children learn to protect themselves, increase their mental focus and acuity, improve their physical abilities, and dedicate themselves to something positive.  All while getting to spend quality time with my son!

I volunteer and my only rewards are knowing our kids are safer better citizens and spending time with my son.  It is my service to the community!  As some of these karatekas (students/practicer of karate) advance in rank, they are encouraged to visit their Renshinkan families in Japan.  Many have taken the trip and come back changed forever from the experience.  Many from Japan have come here to visit.  Including Soke!

When I heard of the earthquake, like most, my heart felt heavy and I wanted to act and help.  Sensei Jimbeau and Shihan Black setup this paypal site to DIRECTLY help families affected by this disaster.

There is no overhead, no waist, no delay, no bureaucracy!  The money goes directly to Soke in Japan and he will personally deliver it to families in need.

Please read more about this authentic martial art style here: http://www.synapse.ne.jp/~renshin/english/intro.html

PLEASE READ THIS AND DONATE:  http://www.renshinkaninternationalfederation.com/

Sincerely,
Xeve Silver
