FIRST OF ALL, DON'T FORGET THAT WE HAVE OUR ONGOING "GUARANTEED TOUR TICKET" PROGRAM!!!  If you work 8 of our regular workdays between February and November, you'll be assured of a spot for the 2009 Tour de Felasco.  See www.sanfelasco.net for details!

For all of you who bike, hike or ride horses out at San Felasco, we're having our regular, 2nd Saturday of the month, workday on Saturday July 12.  This is sponsored by the Friends of San Felasco Citizens Support Organization.

We have lots of trees down, so that will be one of our main projects for the morning. We'll also be working on grooming trails for the upcoming Gone Riding event, 8 HOURS OF LABOR, on Aug 31 - see www.goneriding.com for details.

Be sure to bring gloves and hand tools if you have them.  All trail help would be greatly appreciated!  If you can spare a few hours of your time, please be at the park pavilion (park entrance off SR 441 just south of Alachua) Saturday morning at 9 am to sign in.   In addition to the above, bring a water bottle, sunblock, bug spray, and also safety glasses if you plan to operate a chainsaw.   Long pants are recommended.   Bikes are optional, as there are trucks taking crews out to the work locations.

The workday will go until noon, and then you'll have a great lunch of sub sandwiches, cookies, and gatorade and water to reward you for all your hard work!  Please bring your own water bottle to fill up from the cooler before you go out on the trail in the morning.  We are now offering coolers of water and GatorAde instead of individual bottles.

Let me know if you have any questions or need directions, and hope to see you there!  Your help is greatly appreciated in keeping San Felasco the premier park in all of Florida!

Leslie
