The community bike shop, "The Kickstand, "  located at 722 South Main Street,  will be open:

Thursdays-----3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
and
Fridays-----3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Chandler will be the mechanic on duty on Fridays.

"The Kickstand" is a community bike shop for people to work on their own bikes and to participate in an "earn-a-bike" program.  The shop is geared mostly for commuter bikes and bikes for low income students and others.

Everyone is welcome to work on their bikes at "The Kickstand"  though I would suggest that this shop is more suited to your Huffy or your commuter bike, than to Dura Ace or Campy equipment.  With that said, everyone is welcome.   In particular, people may find Wheel Truing Stand useful for straightening their wheels.

I (Chandler Otis) will be at "The Kickstand" on Fridays, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.  Come and visit, check the place out and if you would like to help, they can always use volunteers.   And of course, you can work on your bike.

A project I will be working at "The Kickstand"  will be our annual "Christmas bike Program" for kids.  This year, the Gainesville Cycling club can help by fixing kid's  bikes at "The Kickstand".  I'll post more about that in a later e-mail.

If you have questions, please E-mail me.
