About The Gliders

The Gliders are a group that strives to maintain high training speeds over moderate distances and maintain the integrity of the group.  The average speed of our rides generally will fall between 18 and 19 mph.  You must be capable of holding these speeds in order to stay with the group.  For full information about the group, visit our web page.

To participate, you must sign the safety pledge, wear a helmet, be able to change a flat tire, and have a capable road bike.  You can agree to the safety pledge on our web site.

If you are not a club member, you can print a membership form from our web site.

Roger Pierce, the Gliders Group Captain, will not be riding for an extended period due to surgery and job commitments.  Bring your favorite ride to the start and propose it to the group.  But, above all, keep riding!
