Saturday July 15 Strays will depart from Hart
Springs
for a 30 - 35 mile ride on the Nature Coast Trail. This
ride
will take us across the Suwannee River to Old Town, and Trenton, and
possibly Fanning Spring.
Meet at 9 am for
a 9:15
am departure.
Speeds 6 - 28 mph, depending on terrain.
Average
speed has typically been 13-14 mph in recent
times.
This ride is about as flat as they get. Because this ride is on
the
Nature Coast Trail and Chandler has marked the approach with orange
arrows,
we will not necessarily be waiting for the toddling to stay with us on
this
ride, because:
![]() Our plan is to return to Hart Springs before the feeding frenzy ensues
at
noon. Don't forget to bring a side dish or chips, guacamole, creme brulee,
cheese danish, devil's food cake, coconut cream pie, etc.
There will be brief rest room / convenience store stops in Old Town
and
Trenton.
No pacelines, no wheel sucking, no racing, just a fun social
ride.
Helmets are REQUIRED on all Strays rides,
mirrors recommended, headphones
forbidden.
Safety protocols are always observed on Strays
rides
