It was awesome to see 500+ cyclists, many of whom are GCC members, just before dawn in 28 degree weather, all eager to begin their 50 mile mountain bike ride. It was also awesome to see the same riders late in the afternoon, having completed their ride, attack the finish-line pizza. Tour volunteers (many of whom are GCC members and participate every year) are the BEST.

The Tour is planned by a team of people, who are carrying on the great traditions started 10 years ago. Of course, none of this would be possible without the wonderful resource in our back yard: San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park, and the support of park manager Randy Brown. Special thanks to the sponsors, including our local bike shops.

I feel so fortunate to live in a bicycle-friendly town, and GCC is such a HUGE part of that. Thanks.
