Jo et al.

In response to concerns and advisement,  I am cancelling the "other HB ride".  It seemed like a good idea at the time but it is not a good idea to have competing rides.

I will ride with you on Saturday.

In response to a concerned reply, please note:

Since there are two Highbee's paced rides posted this weekend please note that this ride starts at the Chevron (NW 43rd St & 53rd Ave) It is a North West Area ride. Please don't get it confused with Doc's ride starting at the other end of town.

Although the pace is 16-17 average, we will be regrouping at all turns and there is a stop/store at 27 miles. We will not leave you behind. Hope to see you there.

If you are still concerned that the pace or distance may be too difficult you may want to consider riding with the Low Bees, their avereage pace is a reasonable 15 mph.

Ride within yourself,

Sorry, but this ride is neither moderate in pace or distance.
Have fun...

On the last ride the average speed of 17.2 MPH and the cruising speed seemed to vary from time to time in the 18-19 range and sometimes in the 21-23 range. Riders who were comfortable with the previous pace should be fine in the middle of the pack staying in the draft and don’t need to take a turn pulling. This remains a friendly, no drop ride; and we slow down if we’re gapping and we re-group at all turns when needed.
