Gainesville's very own Team Disturbed will be carrying the GCC flag in the 400KM Brevet this Saturday, starting at 4AM.  (Anyone that gets up at 2 in the morning to go on a bike ride is truly DISTURBED)

Anyway, We are leaving AT 5:30 THIS Tuesday evening from the Chevron station.

Ride is 40 miles

18 or less MPH out Millhopper to 241 North 236 east, and then points unknown....

Helmet and good lights required BTW: anyone that is considering night riding next year, and you are thinking of riding at night (other than commuting around G'ville)  DO NOT purchase any lights that are less than 500 lumens.  Over this past riding season we have discovered the hard way that less than 500 is like riding blindfolded.  Most of us are riding with over 1000 Lumens, which I think is the bare minimum for night riding.  NOTE TO BIKE SHOPS, push your suppliers for quality, low cost LED lights.  They are out there. 

Thursday night ride, heads up.  This will be a power eating ride.  We are beginning the carbo loading and Thursdays ride will start at Taste of Saigon ride out 39 AVE, short loop back to Millhopper and back to the start.  Come out and join your team and help us celebrate the coming event.  Planned route is Out 39th, north on 241, back in on Millhopper, so I think we should be back to the restaurant at 6:45, at least come out and drink an Adult Beverage with us.
