This week’s ride info:

Day: Saturday, August 8^th   

Time: 7:15am meeting, 7:30 departure

Meeting Place: Parking lot in front of Publix at Steeplechase, on Newberry Road at NW 143^rd Street in the Jonesville area. We’ll meet in the southern part of the parking lot just east of SunTrust so we are out of the way of the parking for those shopping.

Route and Mileage: We will do a modified version of the Poe Springs Ride starting at Jonesville, going north on CR 241 to 78^th Ave and west to US 27/41 where we’ll go north to High Springs then through High Springs on NW 190^th Avenue to NW 202 Street and go south to Peggy Road and into Alachua, turning south on CE 241 to go back to Jonesville.  I estimate the total ride at 45 miles. We’ll make a stop in High Springs for a break and can do so in Alachua as well if anyone needs to.

Pace: The HighBees ride pace is about 16-17 MPH. This is a friendly, no drop ride; we re-group at all turns when needed.

If you are new to GCC and are looking for a weekly ride with a moderate pace and moderate distance, please feel free to join us.

Membership Requirements: Please note that HighBee rides are open to all GCC members who wish to participate. Those that are non-members may ride with the group as a guest of a sponsoring member once without being required to be a member.
