Depending on which weather site you look at it is now 80-90% chance of rain Saturday morning.  I am going to sleep in and pin my hopes on Sunday’s G-H Trail ride.

Subject: For optimists only: Saturday LoBee Ride

I know, I know.  We’ll expect a miracle anyway.  Watch for further emails.

Saturday, August 23rd

MEET: At the Chevron station on the corner of NW 43rd St and 53rd Ave.

PARK: In the Chevron station, along NW 43rd St. Start at the north end and work south.  Do not park in the slots alongside the station or along NW 53rd Ave. DO NOT use the business lots east of the Chevron on Saturdays.  Overflow parking is along the short east-west street south of the station.  Please watch where you are standing; do not block the flow of traffic going to the pumps.

TIME: Meet at 8:00 am for an 8:10 am departure.

THE PLAN:   Expect approximately 30 miles at 15 mph on the flats.

As always: helmets are mandatory, mirrors and life jackets are recommended.

About the LoBees

Lo Bees will obey all Florida cycling laws, a listing of which may be found here: http://gccfla.org/laws.html

We do not ride more than two abreast on open roads.  Cyclists are expected to form one line on the far right side of the road whenever cars approach from the rear.

Lo Bees will not leave any member of the group stranded.  If someone needs mechanical help a member or members of the group will wait with them and provide any assistance they are able to.

At times distances may form between riders due to riding speeds that particular day.  The group will wait at all turning points along the route to let participating riders regroup.  This will assure that no one makes a wrong turn and gets separated from the group.  More importantly this will enable us to be sure that all riders are still safely with the group and are not stranded behind with mechanical difficulties or may have even been tragically involved in an accident on the road.

I hope to see you there,

Thanks… Bob
