The Gainesville Cycling Club will have its Earth Day picnic on Saturday,  April 25 at the San Felasco trailhead.   Ride leaders may want to schedule rides that start and/or end at the San Felasco Trailhead.   Road rides could meet at the Progress Center parking lot, off-road rides should meet at the San Felasco trailhead.

Food will begin about noon.

Chandler will make a big pot chicken and rice and will attempt to make lentils and rice. The club will also provide at least two salads,  Club members may also want to bring deserts side dishes or other edible goodies to the feast  The club will also provide soft drinks.

Please bring friends and family.  This is a good opportunity to introduce friends to the joy of bike riding and the fellowship of food.

Chandler will need help to feed the masses.

1)  One or two Host/Hostesses to set up the plates, paper goods and covered dishes, and then help supervise the serving line.
2) One or two helpers with the food
3)  As usual, Chandler can use some adult supervision.

Let me know if you can help, especially with the personal slave job.

One Earth Day thought:  bring your own personal plate, fork, knife, spoon, napkin and cup.  That way we don't use paper products, which is truly earth friendly.  If I get enough help, I can set up a dishwashing station for those who bring non-disposable dinnerware.

San Felasco State Park is 10 miles north of Gainesville on US 441, just south of downtown Alachua.  Take US 441  north and turn west (left) onto Progress Drive at the Progress Center. Take Progress Drive to the park entrance, entry fee to the park is $2 per car full of people.
