Yes, this is the infamous bike that slid sideways at 35mph; because, for no apparent reason, a branch the size of your wrist laid at a 45 degree angle in the middle of Angle Road.

But don't worry, the bike (i.e., frame and current components) did not absorb the slide. I did. So did the handlebars, right shifter and rear derailleur. And my pocket book, as I shelled out big $$ to make it better than before - new handlebars, barely used set of *Force* shifters, and a brand-new Rival rear derailleur.

More importantly, the bike comes with:

1) the original - never ridden - Ksyrium Elite wheelset;
2) never ridden premium Sram rear cassette; and,
3) a brand new hollow Dura Ace Chain.

Throw in new cables and brand-spankin' new fi'zi:k bar-tape (that you will never have to replace, as it literally wipes clean with a light soap), this bike is essentially brand-new.

I rode it for less than a year - the last half of last summer, off last fall, and some winter riding - that's it.  For those who don't know, I was planning to sell this bike *long* before I crashed on it. It was too big from the get-go, and I procrastinated building my new 54cm! I will never procrastinate again!

The frame has been inspected by the kind folks at Bike Works. It is true and damage-free. One of the below pics show some scratches on the upper-right seat-stay. I seriously doubt they were the result of the crash - as my seat and my fat rump extend(ed) well beyond it. But regardless, the scratches exist and I took the best pics I could. I'm pretty certain that they are the result of storage on my bike rack.

These scratches are the only defects I have found on the bike.

Complete Carbon (including Ritchey seatpost), Ritchey headset and new cables. Force shifters and Rival everything else.

Rear Cassette - 11/27

Barely ridden Specialized Roubaix Armadillo Elite rear race tire (retails for $70).

Nice bike, better price - $1,700

Thanks!!!
