Hey Cyclists,

Please consider taking a minute to send a short email to the Alachua County Commissioners, bocc@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, thanking them for their vote yesterday in support of multi-modal transportation - if you are in agreement with that decision.  It would make a big impression if the commissioners got a flood of emails today - and what better group than the GCC to oblige.

Dear Chair Pinkoson, and Honorable Commissioners Long, Delaney, Byerly, and Baird,

My heartfelt thank-you to all of you for your support yesterday evening of multi-modal land use planning in Gainesville.  Your vote is a turning point for our community, and without question the right direction to take us.   In this day of rising fuel prices, diminishing fuel supplies, congestion, and environmental degradation caused by our over-reliance on fossil fuels, Gainesville can be proud to lead the way in healthy alternatives for our community.

 

Thank you again for your hard work on this issue, and your support of making Gainesville a very "livable" community!
