In honor of the 135^th running of the Kentucky Derby, LoBees will ride a 42 mile section of the GCC Horse Farm 100 route beginning and ending at Flemington Park, on Saturday, May 2.    Riders are encouraged to decorate their “Derby Helmets” for the occasion.   Prizes will be awarded for the most elaborate helmet display. 

 

Meet Time:  8:20 a.m.

Start Time:  8:30 a.m.

Location:  Flemington Community Park (20-30 minute drive south of Gainesville; directions below)

 

About the LoBees

The Lo Bees are a group that strives to combine consistent exercise with camaraderie among our riders. We like to keep the speeds in the 15 MPH range (sometimes a little higher or lower depending on the terrain).

Two constants that guide the manner in which Lo Bees ride are:  the law and common courtesy.

Directions from Gainesville to Flemington Community Park, 18200 N Hwy 329, Flemington, FL 

·        Travel South on I-75 (16 miles south of Wiliston Road exit) to Exit # 368 toward Irvine

·        Travel west on Hwy 318 for 3-4 miles

·        Turn North/Right at the 4 way stop onto Hwy 329

·        Flemington Park is 100 yards on the left.
