An open letter to the Santa Fe Century Committee and Volunteers,

I just wanted to thank everyone for a great FIRST CENTURY experience.  I started first and finished DFL.  That didn?t matter to me.  What did was that I finished, and met some very nice people along the way.  Special thanks to my personal SAG, Jim (I hope I got that right ? I was a bit out of it at the end).  THANK YOU for sticking with us to the end.  Another special thanks to the 7 folks who waited after hours to see me finish.  You have no idea how appreciative your cheers and support were to a weary rider! (I was the purple/neon green Leukemia Society Jersey)

I had trained 11 months for this ride.  When I started on November 1st, 2005, I could only ride 15 minutes.  That?s not a typo.  Yesterday I finished in 9:42.  No world record ? but a PR.

I?ll see ya?ll along the roads at Xmas!

Cindy
