In our continuing tradition of cycling and eating, Strays will ride about 20 miles on the Gainesville Hawthorne Trail on Wednesday  evening,  weather cooperating, followed by a late dinner at Market Street Pub.

Note: This will be the last night ride this year that will start from Boulware. Next week we will be departing from the GHT and Angle Road (234) start point.

LIGHTS REQUIRED ON THIS RIDE - We will be returning in complete darkness at the end of the ride. Sunset will be about 6:45 pm. No moon tonight, so it will be very dark.

Florida law requires a front white light, and a red rear light and passive red rear reflector. Most, but not all, rear blinkys, are also passive reflectors.  http://gccfla.org/laws.html

Additonal reflectors, reflective tape and reflective clothing are also a good idea. To be safe, and actually see whats ahead,  a headlight of 10 watts or better (Halogen), or an LED light of 100 lumens or better is required.

Meet at 5:30 PM, at the picnic tables across from the dirt lot, at the second entrance (Boulware Springs Waterworks), for a  5:45 pm departure.

Top legal speed on the trail is 20 mph, Strays will be mostly hanging around 12 - 14 mph average.

There will be a brief convenience store / rest room stop at Tim's Fast Nickel, if desired.

For those who don't want to ride, or can't, but want to join us for the food, we usually make it to MSP between 8 - 8:30 pm.

NO pacelines, NO racing, NO wheel sucking, just a fun social ride.

Helmets are REQUIRED on all Strays rides, mirrors recommended, headphones forbidden.

Safety protocols are always observed on Strays rides

NEW RIDERS  must   read the following before joining us:
