Tuesday Nov 22 the Strays will meet at the dirt lot at Boulware
Springs for a ride of approximately 20 miles, mostly on the trail.
Meet at 2:45 PM for a 3 PM departure. It should be reasonably warm by
then.
Ride speed 6-28 mph. Typical average speeds approaching 14 mph.
There will be a rest room / convenience store stop at about the mid
point
of the ride
No pace lines, no wheel sucking, no racing, just a fun social
ride.
Helmets are required on all Strays rides, mirrors recommended,
headphones forbidden.
After the ride the hungry will head to Market Street Pub to consume
half
price $2 sirloin burgers and MSP brewed beer. What more could any
cyclist
desire, other than a giant screen, and Dolby surround sound 7.1,
playing
American Flyers.
Whether or not you are able to get away from work and ride with us,
please
feel free to join us at Market Street Pub for dinner. We expect to
arrive
there at 5:30 - 6 PM.

For those that have not been to the Gainesville Hawthorne
Trail:
Go east on University Avenue (26) past Waldo Road (24), soon
(about a quarter mile) the road will Y, take the right road (20),
follow
this for one block and turn right on SE 15th st. Follow SE 15th st south
for 2
miles. Pass the first entrance to the Gainesville Hawthorne Trail, the next
entrance on your right will be the dirt lot.
To get to Market Street Pub:.
From the intersection of University Ave. and Main St., go south one
block
to South 1st Ave. Turn right on South 1st Ave. and go east two blocks.
MSP
will be on the right. If you can't find parking immediately in front of MSP
there is a large parking lot immediately across the street from the
pub.
If you are not a Strays rider, you are still welcome to
join
us if you are a GCC member.
