Special Note Concerning Future High Bee Rides Posted By Me

In an effort to keep to everyone happy about High Bees rides posted by me, kindly understand that those riding with us rightfully expect that the rides will be maintained at a 16-17 mph pace.  Therefore, in all of my future online GCC ride postings, please expect to see this reminder.  Further, I will ask those present before the ride starts if they anticipate riding in excess of the 16-17 mph pace.  For those that do, kindly plan to leave just before the main group does.  Those of us remaining will start and maintain our ride at the posted 16-17 mph pace.  Thank you for your understanding.

This week’s ride info:

Day: Saturday, November 8th

Time: 9:00am meeting, 9:15 departure

Meeting Place: Sav-A-Lot Grocery Store parking lot at the intersection of Archer Road (SR 24) and US 27/41 in Archer.

Route and Mileage: We’ll ride a modified version of the Raleigh Archer Ride. We’ll go out CR 346 to SW 91st St and right on CR 346A to SR 121 and right on SE Wacahoota Road (Short Wacahoota Rd) to Micanopy stopping at the Pearl Country Store. From there we’ll go out CR 234 to CR 320 in Shiloh and take 320 to Wacahoota and then 121 back to 346 returning to Archer.  Mileage estimated at around 40.

Pace: The HighBees ride pace is about 16-17 MPH; a little faster based on terrain and slower on climbs. This is a friendly, no drop ride; we re-group at all turns when needed.

If you are new to GCC and are looking for a weekly ride with a moderate pace and moderate distance, please feel free to join us.

Thanks,

Mike
