On Saturday March 29, Strays will ride 28 - 30 miles in the Alachua, Santa Fe, Lacrosse areas. We will pass the miniature horses on the way, and may stop at the Cellon Oak park if anyone is on the ride who hasn't already seen it.
 
Arrive at Velvet Yates home at 9 am to depart at 9:15.
 
Speed 2.5 - 46 mph, depending on terrain. Average speed has typically been 12 - 14 mph in recent times. This ride is mostly flat except for a few hills near Alachua.
 
There will be two convenience store / rest room stops, one in Alachua, and one in Lacrosse. 
 
Post ride the hungry will have a picnic lunch under the big Oak tree in Velvets yard.  Bring something to eat, a drink and a folding chair. There will be room in the frig for your food and drinks.
 
No pace lines, no racing, no wheel sucking, just a fun social ride.
 
Helmets are REQUIRED on all Strays rides, mirrors recommended, headphones forbidden.

Directions:
The ride will start from Velvets front yard. To get to Velvets place from Gainesville, starting from the intersection of 441 and 121. Head north on 121 from the intersection for 6.5 miles until you get to the intersection of 340 (NW 156th Ave) and 121. There will be a flashing yellow light above the intersection. Turn right at the intersection and continue east for approximately half a mile until you go in to a depression and start to rise out of it. Just before you get to the top of the hill there will be a large Oak tree on the right, and a GCC bumper sticker hanging under the mail box. The address is 4524 NW 156th Ave. Park anywhere in the driveway, or if full, anywhere in the yard.
