Hi GCC potential bike commuters,

I often get requests for advice about lights for night riding, particularly for commuting, about this time of year.

So to head off those requests and make sure people don't end up buying unsafe, inadequate lights, here is a light for your consideration, with commuting particularly in mind.

The Cygolite Milion 150. This is rated at 150 lumens, which is about the same output as my much more expensive Nite Hawk K2. This Cygolite 150 is available right now for about $85.

Here is a link to a YouTube video describing the 150. There is also a more powerful version available at 200 lumens. I haven't seen another light this powerful that was a single piece unit completely convenient for commuting, with an adequate burn time for commutes of up to 3 hours.

I'm not saying this is the light you should get, I'm just saying to compare it to other lights available in this price range before you buy.
