Hello fellow Friends of San Felasco and Gainesville Cycling Club members. The 9th annual Tour de Felasco, a 50-mile off-road bicycle tour (with a metric century option) is scheduled for January 8, 2011. Registration opens October 1 and usually fills within a few days. NEW this year:

Online registration: which can be accessed at Tour de Felasco Online Registration (https://www.sportsbaseonline.com:443/events/index.xhtml?categoryId=27874). If you want to register a group, contact SportsBaseOnline for a group registration guide.
New route: featuring miles of new trails, including Hidden Rise and Conquistador, some of the most challenging single-track in the park.
Two-tier registration fee (your choice) with more shirt options: $50 fee includes either a short-sleeve or long-sleeve cotton t-shirt (in either men-specific or women-specific sizing). $60 fee includes a short-sleeve performance (wicking) t-shirt in unisex sizing. You can also purchase additional shirts and hoodies.

As always, sag stops will be well-stocked, and lunch will include hot chicken soup, vegetarian chili, and cold chicken-salad sandwiches, all home-made.

The Tour is sponsored by the Friends of San Felasco Citizen Support Organization (CSO) and is the primary fundraiser benefiting San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park. If you aren't riding, please consider participating as a volunteer. You will receive an e-mail in early November asking for volunteers.
