Note: For all those people who plan on watching or attending the 8 PM football game we will start a little late Sunday for an easy ride.  Saturday will be part of our Cycling Festival prep.

 

Saturday – October 1st:

MEET: At the Chevron station on the corner of NW 43rd St and 53rd Ave.

TIME: Meet at 8:00 AM for a 8:10 departure.

THE PLAN: We will ride from the Chevron to Newberry and back via Millhopper Rd.> 241> SW 15th Ave.>

         241> SW 46th Ave.> 27> NW 78th Ave.> 241> Millhopper Rd.

PARK: In the Chevron station, along NW 43rd St. Start at the north end and work south.  Do not park in the slots alongside the station or along NW 53rd Ave. DO NOT use the business lots east of the Chevron on Saturdays.  Please watch where you are standing; do not block the flow of traffic going to the pumps.

 

Expect about 42-46 miles at about 16 MPH on the flats

As always: helmets are mandatory, mirrors are recommended.

THE PLAN: Ride a total of about 28 miles through Alachua from the Chevron station & back via 121.  Specific route:

Millhopper Rd.> 241> NW 143rd Pl.> Rachael Blvd.> NW 170th Terr.>NW 103 Terr.>

NW 156 Ave.> 121> NW 53 Ave.> Chevron.
