To my knowledge we have never done this exact route.

Day: Saturday, March 19th

Time: 9:00 am meeting, 9:15 am departure

Meeting Place: The parking lot adjacent to the fruit stand on CR 236 and I-75 in Traxler.  One exit (about 4 miles) on I-75 north of the Alachua exit.

Route and Mileage: We will ride north on CR 1491, to CR 239A, to CR 796A to SR 238 to Lake Butler, then south on CR 231 to Brooker, then west on CR 18 to Worthington Springs, then south on CR 239 to CR 236, then west back to Traxler. A total of 47.86 miles as calculated by MapMyRide.com. I know I used to take a ballpark guess and feel lucky if I hit it within 5 miles.

Pace: The HighBees ride pace is about 16-17 MPH. This is a no drop ride; we re-group at all turns when needed.

If you are new to GCC and are looking for a weekly ride with a moderate pace and moderate distance, please feel free to join us.

Membership Requirements: Please note that HighBee rides are open to all GCC members who wish to participate. Those that are non-members may ride with the group as a guest of a sponsoring member once without being required to be a member.
