Day: Saturday, July 23rd

Time: 7:15 am meeting, 7:30 am departure (Note: Slightly earlier start time…beat the heat and have time for swim and lunch!)

Meeting Place: The Lodge at Dylan’s Grove, 18909 SW 21st Place, Newberry, Florida 32669. Directions: West on Newberry Rd to SW 170th St, south to SW 15th Ave, right to SW 188 St. Enter through gate and drive to the rear of the community (1/2 mile) and turn right on SW 21st Place to driveway that goes to parking area for The Lodge. There are bathroom facilities at The Lodge for changing into swim suits or dry clothes following the ride.

Access: Dylan’s Grove is a gated community, so if you would please reply to this e-mail with “Ride” or “Ride and Lunch” and I’ll send you a gate code by e-mail. Also, we’ll know that way about how many are attending and how to plan for the beer! E-mailing me is best.

Route and Mileage: Saturday’s ride is derived from the Williston ride map, but that’s about the only thing that resembles it. We’ll leave DG, head south on 241 to Archer, through downtown and east on CR 346 to Wacahoota area and south on SR 121 to Williston for a rest stop. From there, north on US 27/41 a short distance to CR 343, turning west there to CR 241 and turning north back to Archer. From there, go through Archer and continue north on SW 170th Street to SW 15th Ave and return to DG. Total mileage is 50 according to MapMyRide.com.

Pace: Normal HighBee pace of 17-18 MPH.

Lunch: For those who wish to stay for lunch following the ride, please bring a sandwich of something else for lunch and we’ll be providing beer and soft drinks.

Membership Requirements: Please note that HighBee rides are open to all GCC members who wish to participate. Those that are non-members may ride with the group as a guest of a sponsoring member once without being required to be a member. Team VetMed members are welcome.
