The Gainesville Cycling Club will have its best picnic of the year on Memorial Day Monday, May 26 at Hart Springs.   The picnic will feature barbecue from Sonny's Barbecue.   Club members should bring a side dish or desert to round out the feast.  The Club will provide barbecue and soft drinks. Food will begin about noon.

Club members should e-mail Chandler with their preference of barbecued flesh,  either cow, sow or fowl.  (Please let Chandler know if you want beef, pork or chicken)   This helps us know how much to order.

Ride groups should organize rides for Monday, Memorial Day.  A paved rail-trail, the Nature Coast Trail is near Hart Springs.  The roads in the area are mostly quiet and are definitely flat (no hills!).

Hart Springs is on the Suwannee River about 40 miles from Gainesville.   Take State Road 26 (Newberry Road) west through Newberry, then to Trenton.
